Overview of my year in AP Literature and Composition: I've always had a passion for writing. Writing is a way to express your emotions, fears, and beliefs that words can't. I loved that about writing. It was your own little world that you could either choose to share or not. I have this collection of notebooks with every page filled with my messy handwriting. Pages and pages of stories, both fiction and non-fiction. So of course, growing up, english class was my best class. It wasn't until my senior year, when I realized: there is a lot more to writing and literature than a pen and a piece of paper. AP Lit not only made me improve as a writer, it helped me become a better reader as well, learning to analyze things such as diction, syntax, and imagery. It opened my eyes to an new world. There were so many things I never thought about before entering this class. Below I will go into more depth about the tricks and tips of AP Lit. Three Things I've Learned in My Year of AP Lit: 1) Shakespeare is easier to understand when read/acted out loud. 2) Seminar is actually very helpful. 3) I statements are not welcome in AP Lit.

Looking Ahead: This fall I will be attending Kellogg Community College for one year, and then I will transfer over to Western Michigan University. The major I have chose is Speech Pathology. Though my major does not heavily involve reading or writing, some of my general classes do! AP Lit has helped me become more of an analytical writer, which has changed my whole writing style. My writing style is more organized and professional, and I am very grateful to have acquired that before college. (Check Out My Home Page to See More!)
Some Goals for The Future: Some goals I have for the future are:
Channel the confidence and love I have for writing into becoming a Speech Pathologist.
Improve my analytical writings. (There is always room to improve!)
Never forget Foster!
My Favorite Writing Piece from AP Lit: My Favorite AP Literature piece I wrote was, my Foster-I Can Now Read Literature Like a Professor paper. (Located in Great Works!)
Wrapping Up!
